Rich Hobby Wooden Wax is a transparent masking gel that can be used to create an antique effect.

Apply your acrylic paint colour, wait for it to dry, then apply Wooden Wax in areas where you want the bottom acrylic colour to show through. Apply your second different colour of paint, then when dry, sand back to reveal the base colour.
